About the Boat

Following on from the beautifully designed Shadow, the idea of a bigger kite is to allow faster downwind sailing, matching the downwind angles of classes that use larger spinnakers without making the boat too much of a handful when the wind gets up.  The addition of a light weight spinnaker pole allows the sail to site further forward than the smaller spinnaker, providing more lift and making the X easier to keep 'in the groove'  with less need to head up for more power.
